Today's post is going to be short but oh so sweet, and brings together all my favourite aromatherapy blends that are seriously perfect for springtime!
Even if we are stuck indoors during lockdown, there is no reason why we can't all enjoy these refreshing months of blooms and rebirth. It doesn't matter if you live in the middle of a city or along country lanes, anyone (from suburbs to seaside!) can whip up a special blend using essential oils to bring out the very best of the season!
I released my first aromatherapy post over the winter which ran through some of my go to brands as well as loads of Christmas and winter inspired scents, and it proved pretty popular... So I decided to make this a more regular series for 2020! Right now I think we could all use a wellbeing boost, and each of these blends is bound to bring a sense of joy and peace to your life.

Need a refresh on what brands are my staples for essential oils? Check it out!:
Tisserand sources pure essential oils in either organic, wild-crafted, or ethically harvested conditions, meaning that the product is as high quality as possible without tampering with the environment or endangering the sustainability of the resources. All of their product ranges include the holistic power of plants, and are expertly blended to create the effect you desire, whether that is mental or physical. I've been so impressed by this brand, and have been a solid supported for several years now!
Balm Balm is a certified 100% natural and 100% organic brand with a whole host of products ranging from perfumes to body balms. Each of the many items is free from common nasties like parabens, SLS, and synthetic preservatives, and is gentle on the skin, plus they are super budget friendly while not skimping on quality. Their range is pure, simple, and effective, and I have had such a great experience with pretty much everything I have tried.
Pure Anada is a Canadian brand that creates high quality formulas that are inexpensive and free from the "dirty dozen" ingredients. They use organic botanicals, focus on fair trade all the way through the supply chain, and support ethical sources like the women's co-op in Africa where they get their shea butter from and the self-owned mica mine in India that funds daycare centres. They're so upfront about their initiatives and aims, and I really appreciate that!
SOIL is an organic aromatherapy brand from South Africa that offers a wide selection of mists, essential oils, carrier bases, rollerball remedies, and massage oils. All of their products are natural, certified organic, and have a strong focus on quality, efficacy and purity. I've been so impressed with all the oils I have tried so far, and this has quickly become a favourite of mine this year as they offer such a variety of products and everything has proved to be highly effective.
Of course there are other brands I pick and choose from as well including Naissance, the organic range from Mystic Moments, and NYR, but these are the ones that regularly make it into my collection. Are any in yours already??
As for blends, I've been experimenting with some new mixtures (as well as sticking to some tried and true ones) over the last few weeks so I can share a roundup of diffuser friendly creations you can try while staying home and keeping safe. From fresh crisp aromas to sweet and fragrant smells, this little guide should have something for everyone! Do let me know which you end up trying, and what ones turn out to be your favourites!
DIY Essential Oil Blends for Spring
Rain Showers
3 drops of Vetiver
2 drops of Lemon
Mown Grass
2 drops of Lemon
2 drops of Basil
2 drops of Fir
1 drop of Bergamot
Fresh Blooms
2 drops of Geranium
2 drops of Lavender
2 drops of Ylang Ylang
Easy Breezy
3 drops of Bergamot
2 drops of Patchouli
1 drop of Eucalyptus
Lemon Drop
5 drops of Lemon
1 drop of Sweet Orange
OPTIONAL: to transform this Lemon Drop blend into something a bit sweeter add 1 drop of Vanilla absolute to this mixture. It goes from a tart sweet scent to a creamy finish that reminds me of lemon cookies - yum! If you're using an electric diffuser just be sure to thoroughly clean afterwards, as the vanilla is much thicker than your average essential oil and you want to be sure not to clog the machine.

This is a blend I found online, but I have been so pleased with the result that I have yet to begin experimenting with subtle changes. If you love the smell of damp earth, this is one for you!
No need to feel cooped up inside anymore - just bring the outside in! I would love to hear your thoughts on these blends, or if you have any favourites of your own you would be happy to share. Let me know in the comments! xx
