The capsule collection is designed to offer highly effective treatments that can work in a minimalist routine or be added to a more elaborate ritual.  This sustainable beauty brand offers three key products currently: a multi-use cleanser, a hydrating elixir, and a soothing serum.  I have been lucky enough to try two of these gorgeous formulations thanks to taking part as a judge for the Beauty Shortlist Awards, and I was wowed by both.

Rua Soothe Softening Serum Review:

First, let me just start off by saying how impressed I was by this serum!  It has a gorgeous scent, feels beautiful on the skin, and offers results that even the most diehard skincare enthusiast would be happy with.

In terms of ingredients, Rua tries to ensure that the environmental burden of transporting raw ingredients is lessened.  In fact, 90% of their ingredients are sourced in Europe, and most of these are either organic or wild harvested.  I was really pleased by this effort, and I appreciate how the brand sticks to their ideals from start to finish.

The product itself was just as special.  Your senses are welcomed by a luscious green oil that seems to shine and shift in colour thanks to the unusual glasswork at the end of the dropper.  Then, you're hit by a lightly sweet scent that exudes peace and tranquility.  This is an aroma that I could breathe in all day -- blue tansy is a star here, with delicate notes that spark calm and positivity, but sweet herbal tones add complexity thanks to rock rose, rosemary and clary sage.  It's grounding, comforting, and brings quiet walks in the damp woods to mind.

Rua Beauty's award winning Soothe Softening Serum is made with a blend of Scandinavian plant actives including Norwegian Sea Kelp, Swedish Oat, and Arctic Blackcurrant.  These natural ingredients work to hydrate, protect, and renew the skin, and oh boy do they deliver...

I find this formula to be really gentle, and it works miracles for my fussy skin.  My face has been incredibly dehydrated this year in particular, due largely in part to my ADHD medication I think.  That means I have been suffering with flaky patches and irritation.  The Soothe Softening Serum from Rua really helps combat this, as it works to replenish and restore my complexion.  There is a noticeable decrease in redness and rough texture, my face is left soft and more radiant, and it really benefits lacklustre skin overall.

I love everything about the Soothe Softening Serum from Rua - the full bodied texture treats my skin thoroughly without feeling slick or greasy, it sinks in quickly, and it delivers on all its promises.
